High Torque Nema 23 Step Motor, MIcrostepping Driver & Intelligent Controller in 1 Compact Package (05/01/2006)
Carson City, NV—May 2006 —RMS Technologies, the Driving Force in Motion Control, have just released the all new IMC23 integrated step motor + driver + intelligent controller.
The IMC23 is capable of up to 3 amps peak of output current, 256x microstepping, and it can handle from +12 to 40 VDC. Depending on its body length, three are available, the IMC23 can produce up to 294 oz-in of holding torque. The unit also features full programmable ramps and speeds, software selectable hold and move currents, stand alone operation with no connection to a PC, and storage of up to 16 different programs at once with the built-in 4kBytes of memory. Commands for the IMC23 can be issued from the Windows® HyperTerminal® program. An integrated optical encoder is also available with this unit.
In addition to the IMC23, a developer’s kit is available allowing users to easily implement their own programs. The kit includes a CD-ROM with software and manuals, a DB-15 connector cable, an optical sensor, a red switch push button and, depending on the user’s preference, either a RS485 to RS232 converter card or a RS485 to USB converter card.
