Carson City, NV—August 2005—RMS Technologies, the Driving Force in Motion Control, is proud to introduce the new and improved IMC 17 integrated motor, driver, and controller. This NEMA 17, 1.8 degree bipolar step motor is integrated with a 2 amp/phase driver and easy to use controller. The new IMC 17 features the same compact size as its predecessor, yet is capable of increased microstepping resolution and higher output current.

The new IMC 17 integrated motor controller and driver has the ability to produce up to 84.8 oz-in of holding torque and is capable of step resolutions ranging from 2x to 256x. The IMC 17 operates from +12 to 40 VDC is also capable of reaching speeds up to 2.0 MHz. The IMC 17 features fully programmable ramps and speeds, software selectable hold and move currents, and the ability to store up to 16 different programs at once with the built-in 4 kBytes of memory. Plus, it can easily be programmed via a serial port and used as a stand alone unit with no PC connection required.
