Carson City, NV—April 2006 —RMS Technologies, The Driving Force in Motion Control, is proud to introduce the SIXpack 2. This integrated unit features a six axis controller system, a microstepping driver, and three interface options all in one small yet robust package.
The SIXpack 2 operates from 15 to 48 VDC and supplies phase currents up to 2 amps peak. The SIXpack 2 also features up to 16x microstepping, limit and reference switches for up to 6 step motors, 6 analog inputs, linear interpolation of up to 6 axis, automatic ramp generation, and on the fly changes of both position and velocity. The SIXpack 2 is also RoHS compliant. For ease of use, the SIXpack 2 is packaged with a simple software protocol as well as PC evaluation software.
In terms of software and current settings the new SIXpack 2 is fully upward compatible to its two predecessors: the original SIXpack and the Quadpack.
