R325IE Microstepping Driver with Pole Damping TECHNOLOGYTM on-board Indexer & Static Encoder Feedback (09/01/2005)

Carson City, NV—Sep 2005—RMS Technologies, the Driving Force in Motion Control, has developed the R325IE featuring Pole Damping Technology ™, an on-board indexer, and static encoder feedback.

The R325 microstepping driver is capable of output currents ranging from 0.3 to 3.0 amps peak while handling +15 to 48 VDC input voltage. Selectable step resolutions from Full, 2x, 4x, 8x, 16x, 32x, 64x, 128x, and 256x microstepping are available. The R325 has hold current reduction capability with adjustable current and timeout settings. The R325 also features three optically isolated inputs and one optically isolated control output that can be used for step, direction, disable/enable, and fault detection.

The new “IE” version of the R325 features the same capabilities as the standard version, yet allows for additional features such as the ability to store configuration parameters in a non-volatile memory, built in control routines for trapezoidal position and velocity moves, and multiple module control through software assigned single character addresses. Yet another capability of the R325IE is the static encoder which features a full set of parameters to configure a wide variety of motor and encoder combinations.
