Wiring Connections

1. Check the color code of the lead wires on your motor; find the color code that matches your wires. For example, if the colors of the 4 wires on your motor are Red, Blue, Green, Black, your color code is 1.

2. Then, connect the proper color wire to the appropriate terminal labeled on your bipolar driver. The terminals on your driver will be labeled A, A-, B, and B-.

Handling and Usage Guidelines

The following guidelines should be followed to avoid unnecessary damage to your driver, controller, and/or motor:

  • Never disconnect a motor from a driver while in operation, damage to the driver may result.
  • Do not try to supply voltage in excess of the driver's rated value. This will damage the board.
  • Never disconnect any of our units while power is still being supplied.
  • Do not disassemble or tamper with the motor; a significant reduction in motor performance will occur.
  • Do not machine shafts; this will have a negative effect on shaft run out and perpendicularity.
  • Do not use the holding/detent torque of the motor as a fail safe brake.
  • Never hold motor by their lead wires, this can cause the wires to come loose.
